Mikroorganizmi kao potencijalni inhibitori korozije metala

Sažetak

Proces korozije predstavlja destrukciju kako metalnih tako i nemetalnih materijala usled hemijske ili elektrohemijske interakcije sa okolnom sredinom. Kao rezultat interakcija između površine metala i bakterijskih ćelija, odnosno njihovih metabolita nastaje mikrobiološki indukovana korozija. Međutim, neke vrste mikroorganizama utiču na smanjenje procesa korozije. Shodno tome, analizirana je literatura koja se bavi primenom mikroorganizama kao potencijalnih inhibitora korozije metala. Različite bakterijske vrste ispitivane su kao potencijalni inhibitori korozije. Istaknut je značaj samih mikroorganizama kao i uloga ekstracelularnih polimernih supstanci na koroziono ponašanje metala. Prikazano je da na stepen zaštite pored tipa primenjenog mikroorganizma, utiče i vrsta metala. Takođe, na osnovu prikazanih podataka može se videti da pojedine vrste mikroorganizma mogu uspešno zameniti organske inhibitore koji mogu biti toksični.
