Klasifikacija, stepenovanje, prognostički faktori i faktori rizika kod karcinoma štitaste žlezde

Sažetak

Maligni tumori štitaste žlezde vode poreklo iz folikulske ćelije (papilarni, folikularni, oksifilni, anaplastični), parafolikulske ćelije (medularni) ili strome (limfomi, sarkomi…). Stepenovanje i prognostički faktori su različiti kod pojedinih histoloških tipova karcinoma. Većina pacijenata sa papilarnim i folikularnim karcinomom imaju odličnu prognozu. Nasuprot, kod anaplastičnog karcinoma se obično preživljavanje izražava u mesecima. Izloženost zračenju i život na području endemske gušavosti povećavaju učestalost karcinoma štitaste žlezde. Kod medularnog karcinoma štitaste žlezde česta je familijarna forma koja može biti udružena sa sindromom multiple endokrine neoplazije.
