Sažetak

Tuberkuloza je neobična infektivna bolest jer latentni period, između infekcije i pojave bolesti, može trajati nedeljama, mesecima ili godinama kao u slučaju sekundarne tuberkuloze. Tuberkuloza drugih organa, bez plućne, je opisivana oduvek, ali nije bila prepoznata kao tuberkuloza i nazivana je mnogim imenima. Ekstrapulmonalna tuberkuloza je dobila na značaju jer ima sve većeg udela u novootkrivenim slučajevima. Multipla ekstrapulmonalna lokalizacija nije tako često prikazivana, dok se opisi na jednom organu često sreću. Pojava ekstrapulmonalne tuberkuloze raste sa godinama starosti, tako da često postoji specifična veza između doba bolesnika i lokalizacije tuberkuloze. Ekstrapulmonalna tuberkuloza se javlja na disajnim organima, van pluća, kao genitourinarna, centralnog nervnog sistema, abdominalna, kao tuberkuloza kostiju i zglobova, kože, perikarda i endokrinih žlezda. Povod ovom prikazu je namera da se analizuju kliničke, morfološke i laboratorijske karakteristike, dijagnoza i ishod bolesti kod bolesnika sa multiorganskom tuberkulozom u nastojanju da se objasne faktori koji doprinose donošenju odluka pri ovakvoj formi bolesti. Prikazali smo najnovija otkrića o patogenezi, kliničkoj slici, kao i efektima citokina, produkovanih od strane T limfocita, kao i ćelijske populacije na antimikobakterijske imunske odbrambene mehanizme i osetljivost prema tuberkulozi. Mortalitet od ove bolesti je visok i terapiju treba započeti što ranije, čak i u slučaju sumnje na tuberkulozu.
