Virusne infekcije i oksidativni stres

Dosadašnja istraživanja na temu virusnih infekcija i oksidativnog stresa odnose se pretežno na infekcije herpes virusima (EBV), primarnim hepatotropnim virusima (virusima hepatitisa C i hepatitisa B) i HIV infekciju. Cilj i značaj razjašnjenja uticaja oksidativnog stresa tokom ovih infekcija jeste poboljšanje terapije i potencijalna prevencija virusnih infekcija. Po pitanju antioksidantne suplementacije tokom infekcija, ne postoji zvaničan medicinski konsenzus i postoji stvarna potreba za dobro kontrolisanim istraživanjima koja će nam dati konačne odgovore na ovu temu.
