Changes in strategic management caused by innovations and key technologies
In this paper we are researching technological dynamism which carries assumption of materialization of innovations. In that matter is management of activities of innovation processes, which carries methodological and organizational problems which must be taken care of. We look at the problem through strategic surprises and possible discontinuities, because strategic turbulence comes as one of the reasons for existence and function of management. Technical progress does not circumvent any of the aspects of human activities from which stems that the innovation process is immanent in every part of that activity. Innovation, no matter if radical, fundamental or incremental, demands implementation of different methods, and engagement of creative people. Without adequate climate for innovation, innovation process will not proceed. Technical progress on one side and competition on the other influence the creation of innovation climate. Enterprise, creative teams and individuals will be the carriers of innovation occurrences, technological breakthroughs, and will manage changes with the use of knowledge, methods, and techniques of strategic management. Technological innovations are seen as mutations which if successful, result in change of economical environment.
