Ihibicija korozije gvožđa u hlorovodoničnoj kiselini poliakrilamidom
SažetakIspitivana je koroziona zaštita i/ili adsorpcija poliakril-amida (PAA) srednje molarne mase ¯Mn = 15000 - 1350000 g mol-1 na mekom čeliku i gvožđu (99,99 % Fe) u 3 M HCl na sobnoj temperaturi korišćenjem spektrofotometrije (fenantrolinska metoda), metode gubitka mase i spektroskopije elektrohemijske impedancije (SEI). Utvrđeno je da efikasnost korozione zaštitite adsorbovanog sloja PAA jako zavisi od koncentracije PAA u rastvoru i njegove molekulske mase, dostižući graničnu vrednost između 85 i 96 %. Takođe je pokazano da se relativno visoke vrednosti stepena pokrivenosti mogu dobiti pri veoma niskim koncentracijama PAA (0,5 - 2 ppm), što ukazuje na dobre adsorpcione karakteristike PAA na mekom čeliku i gvožđu u rastvoru HCl. Eksperimentalno dobijene vrednosti stepena pokrivenosti slede Lengmirovu adsorpcionu izotermu. Adsorpcioni koeficijent, B, se kreće od 2×107 do 4×108 mol-1 i zavisi od veličine polimernog klupka, odnosno od srednje molarne mase PAA prema jednačini B = k× M αn (gde je α ≈ 0,67 i k = 2,95×104). Kao što su merenja metodom SEI pokazala, debljina adsorbovanog sloja PAA je oko 1,1 nm (za εr = 15) i odgovara segmentima polimernog lanca adsorbovanim na površini metala. S druge strane, ranije je pokazano elipsometrijskom metodom da je granični sloj adsorbovanih molekula PAA izrazito voluminozan i relativno debeo (100 - 200 nm) i da sadrži zamršene polimerne lance.
