Kapacitet uklanjanja slobodnih radikala, antioksidativna aktivnost i sadržaj fenola u Pouzolzia zeylanica

Sažetak

Sastojci Pouzolzia zeylanica su ekstrahovani različitim rastvaračima (aceton, etil-acetat, petroletar) primenom dve metode (hladna ekstrakcija i Soksletovom aparaturom). Za procenu antiradikalske i antioksidativne sposobnosti ekstrakata korišćena su četiri in vitro sistema: DPPH, ABTS, test uklanjanja hidroksilnih radikala i test određivanja redukcione sposobnosti. Svi ekstrakti su ispoljili izuzetnu antioksidativnu aktivnost, koja je bila veća i od aktivnosti butilovanog hidroksitoluena. Ekstrakti u etil-acetatu su imali najveću antioksidativnu aktivnost, a metoda hladne ekstrakcije uz mešanje je bila najefikasnija za izolovanje antioksidanasa. Antioksidativna aktivnost je bila u direktnoj korelaciji sa ukupnim fenolnim sadržajem ekstrakata. Rezultati su pokazali da ovi ekstrakti, a naročito etil-acetatni, mogu poslužiti kao izvor prirodnih antioksidanasa koji se mogu koristiti za terapiju oboljenja nastalih kao posledica oksidativnih reakcija u organizmu.
