Sažetak
Klimatske promene predstavljaju realnost savremenih uslova života i poslovanja. Kao posledica klimatskih promena učestalo se javljaju katastrofalni događaji velikih razmera, kao što su poplave, požari, cunamiji, uragani, koji u velikoj meri ugrožavaju pojedince, privredu i društvo u celini. Sektor osiguranja je u prvom planu uticaja klimatskih promena jer osiguravajuća i reosiguravajuća društva snose najveće posledice, u pogledu povećane potrebe za isplatom šteta koje prate ostvarenje katastrofalnih događaja a čiji su uzroci klimatske promene. U radu su analizirane klimatske promene, njihovi uzroci i posledice i posebno njihovi efekti na osiguravajuća i reosiguravajuća društva. U zaključnom delu dat je predlog aktivnosti koje osiguravajuća i reosiguravajuća društva treba da preduzmu kako bi se na održiv način zaštitila od negativnih efekata klimatskih promena.
