Radijaciona povreda creva i kliničke implikacije

Sažetak

Preoperativna radioterapija može indukovati radijajacione povrede creva i regresiju tumora. Histološka evaluacija radijacionog kolitisa mora biti reprodukovana da bi se procenila progresija bolesti. Ozbiljnost radijacionog kolitisa može biti ocenjena i stepenovana korišćenjem histoloških osobenosti. Povećana ozbiljnost bolesti deluje da je povezana sa većim stepenom celularne atipije i smanjenom eozinofilnom infiltracijom. Ozbiljnost histoloških promena ne daje utisak da je povezana sa postoperativnim komplikacijama. Regresija tumora je interesantan fenomen, a njegovo histološko rangiranje ima prognostički značaj. Pacijenti tretirani dugotrajnom radioteraijom imaju veću incidencu post-operativnih komplikacija. Međutim, ovo se pripisuje stepenu tumorske regresije pre nego tipu radioterapije.
