Sadržaj bakra i cinka u humanom ulcerisanom karotidnom plaku

Sažetak

U patogenezi ateroskleroze opisano je više od 30 oligoelemenata čiji je metabolizam antagonistički ili sinergistički povezan sa neorganskim ili organskim sastojcima hrane različitog porekla. Cilj našeg istraživanja je komparacija koncentracije bakra i cinka u tkivu karotidne arterije bez značajnih aterosklerotskih promena i u ulcerisanom humanom karotidnom plaku. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćeno 66 bolesnika. Kod 54 bolesnika (81,8%) izvršena je karotidna endarterektomija zbog izražene ateroskleroze karotidnih arterija, praćenih klinički manifestnim cerebrovaskularnim poremećajima. Kontrolnu grupu je činilo 12 bolesnika (18,2%) bez znakova ateroskleroze karotidnih arterija operisanih zbog tzv. kinkinga (kinking) ili koilinga (coiling) karotidne arterije. Koncentracije bakra i cinka u ulcerisanom ateromu karotidne arterije i elongiranom segmentu karotidne arterije bez morfoloških znakova ateroskleroze određivane su metodom atomske apsorpcione spektrofotometrije u plamenu na instrumentu Varian AA-5. Naše istraživanje je pokazalo statistički značajno niže vrednosti ukupnog sadržaja bakra u grupi sa ulcerisanim plakom u odnosu na kontrolnu grupu (r<0,05). Takođe su nađene statistički značajno niže vrednosti ukupnog sadržaja cinka u grupi sa ulcerisanim plakom u odnosu na kontrolnu grupu (r<0,05). Naša studija je pokazala značajnu razliku u koncentraciji esencijalnih oligoelemenata-bakra i cinka u ulcerisanom plaku i normalnom karotidnom tkivu. Imajući u vidu značaj ovih elemenata u procesu ateroskleroze, neophodno je nastaviti istraživanja o bližoj povezanosti ovih elemenata i endotelne disfunkcije.
