Neodrživost dosadašnjeg koncepta razvoja i problem bezbednosti hrane
Unsustainability of the present concept of development and issues regarding food safety
Sažetak
U radu se analizira koncept privrednog razvoja društva i njegovi efekti na životnu sredinu, s jedne strane, i hranu, s druge strane. Dosadašnji koncept razvoja je, smatra autor, neodrživ, jer je doveo do niza negativnih posledica. On je zasnovan na paradigmi profitne ekonomije, koju karakteriše trka za materijalnim dobrima po cenu nemilosrdne degradacije životne sredine (zagađenost hrane, vode i vazduha). Sve dosadašnje akcije i pokušaji čoveka da preokrene tok negativnih trendova nisu dale, nažalost, očekivane rezultate. Ciljevi održivog razvoja, koji su dobro koncipirani, uglavnom su 'mrtvo slovo na papiru'. Potrebna je 'promena u glavama' čoveka, kao i promena paradigme razvoja društva, u pravcu ostvarivanja koncepta održivog razvoja. Koncept održivog razvoja treba da postane nova filozofija razvoja, koja uključuje ekonomsku, ekološku, moralnu, socijalnu i zdravstvenu dimenziju. U tom i takvom konceptu hrana treba da postane 'lek', a ne 'otrov'. Za ostvarivanje tog koncepta potrebna je nova poslovna politika na makro i na mikro nivou.
Abstract
In this review concept, we are analyzing societal development and its impact on the environment, on individuals and on food. The present concept of development is, according to the author of this article, unsustainable, and leads to a series of negative consequences. This concept is based on the profit-centered economy paradigm, whose main characteristic is the pursuit to attain material goods regardless of the ruthless degrading of the environment (involving food, water and air contamination). The multiplicity of actions and attempts employed by the human population in order to reverse the negative trends haven't, unfortunately, provided the expected results. The aims of sustainable development, which are well defined, are mainly 'dead letters on paper'. A wholesale 'shift in thinking' is necessary, as is a change in the paradigm of societal development in favor of sustainable development. The concept of sustainable development needs to become the new philosophy and encompass economic, ecological, moral, social and health dimensions. In a concept specified in these terms, food should become the 'cure', not the 'poison'. Realization of this concept requires new business politics on micro and macro level.
