Energy sustainable model of dried fruit production by combined technology

Abstract

New combine technology for fruits drying have been develop on Faculty of Agriculture. That friendly procedure is consists of osmotic and convective drying. Two main study objectives were settled down. The first goal is dried products of high quality develop by non-aggressive processing and second is low prize of production. So, en energetically sustainable model for fruits drying have to be involved. The study hypothesis is that it is possible to design effective model for dried biomaterials production on the usage of solar energy and heat energy by combustion of orchard residues. Possible technical solution is presented in this paper, as well as the results of necessary energy calculation for two mentioned sources.
