Sažetak

Pozitivan odnos ljudi prema životnoj sredini uslovljen je velikim brojem personalnih i sredinskih faktora među kojima je ekološko obrazovanje jedan od najznačajnijih. Destruktivni i nepoželjni obrasci ljudskog ponašanja prema životnoj sredini, sa ozbiljnim bezbednosnim implikacijama po ljude, mogu biti sprečeni odgovarajućim sistemom edukacije. Autor u radu elaborira konceptualne osnove i karakteristike ekološkog obrazovanja sa posebnim osvrtom i na koncept obrazovanja za održivi razvoj, kao veoma značajnog za razumevanje celokupne ekološke bezbednosti. Pored toga, sveobuhvatnim i sistematičnim pristupom izlažu se konceptualne povezanosti i uslovljenosti proekološkog ponašanja i ekološkog obrazovanja. Na kraju, analiziraju se i opisuju modeli proekološkog ponašanja, počev od onih koji su zasnovani na linearnom napredovanju ekološkog znanja ka razvoju ekološke svesti kod čoveka, do novijih modela ljudskog ponašanja, kojima se nastoje identifikovati determinante ponašanja koje usmeravaju ka proekološkim akcijama.
