Sažetak

Sportski učinak određuju genetički faktori, faktori sredine, kao i njihova interakcija. Do sada je identifikovan veliki broj genetičkih markera povezanih sa sportskim učinkom i rizikom za nastanak sportskih povreda. Sportska genomika je relativno mlada naučna disciplina i neophodna su dodatna kompleksna istraživanja na velikom broju ispitanika pre nego što naučni rezultati u ovoj oblasti budu primenljivi u praksi. U sadašnjem trenutku, primena testova na bazi genetičkih informacija za detekciju talenta za sport ili preporuka za personalizovani trening u cilju postizanja optimalnog sportskog učinka, nije naučno opravdana. Potrebno je takođe pažljivo razmotriti i sva etička pitanja u vezi sa ovakvim testiranjem kod dece.
