Morfometrijska varijabilnost prekuneusa u odnosu na pol i hemisferu mozga čoveka

Sažetak

Prekuneus, vijuga medijalne strane parijetalnog režnja čoveka, ograničen je pomoću tri primarna moždana žleba i gornjom ivicom hemisfere. Precizni encefalometrijski podaci o prekuneusu su značajni u razjašnjenjima lateralizacija, polnog dimorfizma i moždanih funkcija u celini. Merena je ukupna i vidljiva (ekstrasulkusna) površina prekuneusa na 50 mozgova odraslih osoba (31 muškarac i 29 žena) i izučavan njihov odnos prema strani (levo/desno) i polu. Prosečna ukupna površina prekuneusa je desno 16,07 cm2(muškarci - 16,44 cm2, žene - 15,27 cm2), a levo 15,44 cm2 (muškarci 15,67 cm2, žene - 14,62 cm2). Prosečna vidljiva (ekstrasulkusna) površina kore prekuneusa iznosi desno 9,38 cm2 (muškarci - 10,25 cm2, žene - 8,19 cm2), a levo 9,97 cm2 (muškarci - 10,75 cm2, žene - 8,91 cm2). Ukupna površina prekuneusa muškaraca desno (16,44 cm2) značajno je veća (p<0,01) nego levo (15,67 cm2). Kod žena je, takođe, veća desno (15,27 cm2) nego levo (14,62 cm2), ali nesignifikantno. Vidljiva (ekstrasulkusna) površina kako levog, tako i desnog prekuneusa muškaraca je statistički visoko značajno veća u poređenju sa odgovarajućom kod žena (p<0,001). Naši nalazi i druge činjenice pokazuju da polni dimorfizam ljudskog mozga, uključujući prekuneus, postoji ali da nije uvek jednostavno uočljiv, istražen ili dokazan u svim pojedinostima.
