Depresivni poremećaj u svetlu supkliničke disfunkcije tiroidne žlezde

Sažetak

Cilj istraživanja je bio da se ustanovi postojanje abnormalnih vrednosti TSH hormona kod pacijenata sa prvom epizodom depresivnog poremećaja koji nisu lečeni i nemaju klinički manifestno oboljenje štitne žlezde. Pažnja je usmerena na hormone štitne žlezde jer moduliraju fenotipsku ekspresiju afektivnih poremećaja i gensku ekspresiju i sintezu neurotransmiterskih sistema (NA, 5HT, GABA, G-proteina). Može se zaključiti da supklinička disfunkcija štitne žlezde predstavlja faktor rizika za razvoj depresivnog poremećaja.
