Sažetak

Preduzetnici imaju veoma važnu ulogu u ekonomiji svake zemlje. Oni doprinose razvoju nacionalnih ekonomija pokretanjem i vođenjem malih i srednjih preduzeća (MSP), koja obično čine više od 95% ukupnog broja preduzeća i zapošljavaju više od 60% radno sposobnog stanovništva. Značaj preduzetništva za ekonomski razvoj obavezuje vlade zemalja i sve relevantne institucije da nastave da podstiču rast MSP-a svim raspoloživim sredstvima. Kako bi u ovome uspele, sve ove institucije moraju da budu upoznate sa motivima preduzetnika za pokretanje sopstvenog biznisa. Sa ovim ciljem su u ovom radu predstavljeni rezultati empirijskog istraživanja motivacionih faktora koje je sprovedeno u Srbiji. Ovo istraživanja predstavlja nastavak serije istraživanja na ovu temu koja su, korišćenjem istovetne metodologije, sprovedena u određenom broju zemalja.
