Tihi konflikti oko raspodele resursa pijaće vode na indijskom potkontinentu

Sažetak

Ubrzan rast populacije, posledice klimatskih promena (ubrzano topljenje glečera i stalnog snežnog pokrivača na Himalajima i izmene u režimu periodičnih monsuna1 ) i sve veće povlačenje pijaće vode usled porasta poljoprivredne i industrijske proizvodnje, kao i širenje urbanih sredina u kombinaciji sa zagađenjem životne sredine, ima za posledicu da potpisani sporazumi oko raspodele resursa pijaće vode, na Indijskom potkontinentu, ne budu garancija mira, već veoma lako mogu da dovedu da postojeći tihi konflikti prerastu u konflikte većih razmera. Ovakom stanju u prilog ide sve veća aktivnost NR Kine da iskoristi svoje teritorijalno pravo i upotrebi vodu u slivu reke Bramaputre za svoje nacionalne interese, što će neminovno umanjiti priliv vode u nizvodne države a samim tim dovesti do ozbiljnih međunarodnih problema u regionu, koji su već danas opterećeni nacionalnim, teritorijalnim, religijskim, etničkim, političkim i kulturnim previranjima. U radu je posebno naglašen geografski položaj i stanje resursa pijaće vode na Indijskom potkontinentu, faktori i činioci koji ugrožavaju resurse pijaće vode i tihi konflikti oko resursa pijaće vode u slivu reka Inda, Ganga i Bramaputre.
