Abstract

This paper presents the results of research conducted within the 'Movement in the function of preschool children', which was implemented with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Sports Republic of Serbia in the period from September 2001 until May 2002. The aim of the research was to determine whether there were positive effects of programmed physical education activities directed by a teacher of physical education on the motor status of preschool children compared to the classical was of work in the pre-school in Kikinda. Teacher of physical education is performed daily, for 30 minutes, directed activities of physical education in kindergarten, 'Mickey' for one academic year. Of the total, of 332 children, samples of experimental and control groups were taken from. Adaptation of the group was carried out using methods pairs, which explains the relatively small final sample of - 26 the experimental and 26 control subjects. Final results show a statistically significant difference between the motor abilities of the experimental and control groups. Statistically significant differences are evident in the five studied variables - flexibility, coordination, speed, accuracy, explosive strength. Conclusion would be that organising directed programmed activities of physical education has positive effects in the domain of motor status of preschool children.
