Kulturna različitost kao deo održivog razvoja i kulturno responzivno poučavanje

Sažetak

Kulturna različitost je neminovnost društva u kome živimo, te je neophodno da društvo, i obrazovanje kao integralni deo društva, definiše svoj odnos prema datim kulturnim različitostima u eri globalizacije. UNESKO je u svojim publikacijama definisao očuvanje kulturne različitosti kao sastavni i neizostavni deo održivog razvoja, a posebno se to ističe u Univerzalnoj deklaraciji o kulturnoj raznolikosti iz 2001. godine i Konvenciji o zaštiti i promociji raznolikosti kulturnih izraza iz 2005. godine. Obrazovanje se vidi kao ključni proces prilikom kojeg mogu da se prenose različite kulturne vrednosti, kako nacionalne, tako i univerzalne. Kako se povećava svesnost o kulturnim razlikama i neophodnosti njihovog negovanja, nastaju ideje kulturno responzivne pedagogije. Kulturno responzivna pedagogija polazi od nužnosti očuvanja kulturne baštine i tradicije, uz postizanje maksimalnih akademskih postignuća. Ona se ne orijentiše samo na proces poučavanja, nego i na šire društvene elemente koji dovode do liberalizacije poučavanja kulturno različitih učenika. Cilj rada je sagledavanje značaja kulturne različitosti kroz ključne dokumente i razmatranje pretpostavki kulturno responzivne pedagogije kao odgovora na kulturnu različitost, čije održanje predstavlja deo održivog razvoja.
