Occurrences of salmonellosis in Belgrade between 2002 to 2011

Abstract
This document presents epidemiologic overview of salmonellosis in Belgrade between 2002 and 2011. Based on annual reports of prevention, containment and elimination of infectious diseases, in a previous decade there's been a 24,022 registered cases of red infectious diseases with initial rate of incident 150.92/100,000. Of all intestinal diseases cases, salmonellosis represents 24.5% (5885). The average rate of illness caused by salmonellas is 36.94 per 100,000 people. Salmonellosis were more often registered as individual cases (63.3%), while 36.7% were registered as a part of epidemic. Salmonellosis' infections and illnesses were registered in all municipalities, with increased occurrences during summer seasons.
