Sažetak

Cilj ove studije bio je da ispita efekte planiranog vežbanja i ishrane praćene brošurom u kojoj se nalaze namirnice poređane po kvalitetu na izmerene komponente fizičke pripremljenosti koja je u skladu sa standardom za dobro zdravlje. Primenjeni tretmani imali su pozitivan uticaj na restrukturu telesnog sastava umanjenjem relativne količine masnog tkiva, kao i na poboljšanje mišićne izdržljivosti gornjeg dela tela i aerobne izdržljivosti. Efekti tretmana više zavise od nivoa kontrole i samokontorle nego od trajanja primenjenog tretmana, dok nivo kontrole (posebno samokontrole) može biti poboljšan uvećanjem znanja o povezanosti fizičke pripremljenosti i zdravlja, uz data praktična rešenja. S tim u vezi, policijske agencije bi trebalo da obezbede programe vežbanja i fizičke aktivnosti za svoje zaposlene, ali bi takođe trebalo da razviju strategije za promocije zdravlje na radnom mestu koje bi usmeravale policajce i njihove porodice ka uključenje u zdrav način života.
