Da li finansijski razvoj zasnovan na tržištu akcijama podstiče ekonomski rast na tržištima u nastajanju? Novi dokazi iz Nigerije

Sažetak
Ova studija ispituje uticaj razvoja tržišta akcijama na ekonomski rast Nigerije. Studija obuhvata period 1980-2016. Koristi ARDL pristup kointegraciji. Dokazi iz studije pokazuju da razvoj tržišta akcija promoviše ekonomski rast na kratak rok, ali dugoročno, uticaj na razvoj tržišta akcija nije značajan. Uticaj na rast tržišne kapitalizacije, vrednost trgovanih akcija i odnos tržišnog prometa, su svi kratkoročno značajni, dok otvorenost trgovine nije. U međuvremenu, trgovinska otvorenost je jedina promenjiva koja dugoročno značajno utiče na ekonomski rast. Bound test za kointegraciju otkriva dugoročan odnos među varijablama. Sve promenjive, osim otvorenosti trgovine, pozitivno su povezane sa ekonomskim rastom. Rezultati ove studije ukazuju na to da razvoj tržišta akcija igra veliku ulogu u ekonomskom rastu Nigerije. Preporučuje se da regulatorno telo donese propise koji će promovisati likvidnost, stabilnost i odgovornost na tržištu akcija, što bi moglo da produži ekonomski rast Nigerije.
