When we speak about period when child gets most skills and fundamental knowledge, it is period till twelfth year of life. For children it is easiest to learn through play. While they are involved in artistic process, they are free to experiment and use imagination on the way to the finish line. Through combining play and art, we made a playground on which children can experiment and use imagination on the way to goal - drama performance. If we look at other educational activities in a kindergarten (speech development; Fine arts, music and physical culture; Mathematics; Getting to know the environment), we can say that drama is sublimation all of them. The influence of drama on speech development is more than obvious. However, what we should pay attention to is the effectiveness of this form of art for the release of children to speak and their preparation for appearance in front of a larger auditorium. It isn't matter which form of dramatic arts children use in their games or for self-expresion. Both - classical drama and puppetry - it is ideal for the development of physical culture. Children, while exercising or performing a performance, move and develop coordination of the movement. When applying any kind of stage dools, the motor functions of hand are developeing - of the largest (moving in the shoulder and elbow) to the tiniest (moving the wrist of a hand, working with the fingers when animating the doll). The development of fine arts culture is enable through children's drawings of figures (caracters), scenography, costume designs or puppets' designs. Music is an integral part of every theater performance. Mathematical terms are developed by observing mutual relations on the scene (in relation to the space surrounding the actors to their mutual relations). Getting to know the environment is made possible by referring to the sense of the story that will performed by actors. Nevertheless, in addition to all the mentioned benefits of drama art in child development, it is most important to emphasize its influence on the spiritual development of an individual. Both - classical drama and puppetry - encourage development of: aesthetic feelings, emotions, empathy, critical thinking, but also they are excellent for development of: fine motor skills and movement coordination. Work on the play encourages team spirit within the group, as well as self-esteem of the individual.
