Choosing of research model and methodological research procedures is a complex and significant problem that has to be approached from different angles. Procedure of model appearance takes place by applying analytical procedure, which begins by the statement that politics exists as a real social phenomenon that can be perceived and researched and that the acquired knowledge can be verified. By model formation it is created the fundament for research conducting. By determining the rules through which the research process is taking place, methodology establishes research models. Model has to be appropriate for the research subject, thus, it has to be appropriately applied to the concrete subject. It allows realization of functions, subjects and procedures in the research process. Models have to be more flexible and opened in order to facilitate theoretical explanation of phenomena and processes. Theoretico-methodological research models are intermediaries between a theory and accompanying research by opening possibility of practical application and theory verification. Empirical research models contain all important factors of research process and follow the order of predetermined process stages.
