Microclimatic conditions in plastic greenhouses
University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture
Keywords: plastic greenhouses; microclimate; temperature; relative humidity; time of heating
Protected area with plastic oughts provide the optimal conditions for plant breeding in autumn-winter-spring period, which enable planned picking in time of smaller supply on the market. That ensures higher price, because the fresh vegetables are most expensive. Therefore the economy of production in a protected area depends first of all on time of arriving to market. Climatic conditions and market cause the choice of kind of protected area species and sort of vegetable and time of production. At that, the shortage of sun natural warmth, it is possible to compensate by additional heating of the house, and the shortage of sun light (in this country is minimum from November to February) by additional lighting for species that require higher light intensity (tomato, paprika, cucumber, waremelon) or by movement of production periods. In relation to countries of warmer climate, in this country the energy consumption in higher by 15 - 20 % and it participates by 30 to 70 % in costs of production, depending on heating and kind of energy.
