Abstract
This paper shows the possibility of increasing the effectiveness and the efficiency of overhaul process of machine-tools, by using group technology in support of building Lean structures of overhaul-production systems. The following factors are observed: process of grouping parts of machine tools in overhaul using classification system, subject approach to building production structures and Layout in real overhaul-production system. First phase of experimental research refers to classification and fortification of production program. In second phase, the analysis of constructional, classification and operational part similarities in overhaul process of machine tool is performed. Third phase refers to the analysis of presence of individual operation group machines in relation to the total number of formed operational groups in overhaul-production system of machine tools. Research has shown that the use of group technology in support of building Lean structures in overhaul process of machine-tools, can increase the level of effectiveness and efficiency of work process in overhaul-production systems. At the same time, it was found out that there are certain laws in forming the operational groups, which can be reliably used to estimate the influence of the analyzed factors on forming permanent working units in terms of distribution of equipment and working places (Layout), regardless of the conquest of overhaul "new " families and types of machine tools, which allowed the increase of effectiveness and the efficiency of repair process of technical systems in every overhaul-production system.
