Sažetak

Pneumonija udružena sa ventilatornom potporom bolesnika je jedna od najčešćih intrahospitalnih infekcija. Uzročnici su obično bakterije, a u zavisnosti od vremena nastanka uzrokovana je osetljivim ili rezistentnim sojevima bakterija. Primarni put dospevanja patogena u traheju je kroz tubus - aspiracijom, ili curenjem bakterija oko kafa endotrahealnog tubusa. Obzirom da je praćena visokom stopom mortaliteta, povećanom cenom i dužinom lečenja, velika pažnja se pridaje nefarmakološkim i farmakološkim merama prevencije njenog nastanka. Ukoliko nastane, neophodna je rana dijagnoza jer od toga zavisi izbor antibiotika. Nekada je teško postaviti dijagnozu, a ona se bazira na kliničkoj slici, radiografskom nalazu i mikrobiološkim rezultatima.
