Uticaj impregnanta aktivnog uglja cink oksida na hemisorpciju karbonil dihlorida
Effects of active coal zinc oxide impregnant on the chemisorption carbonyl dichloride
Abstract
All of the sorbents, and especially activated charcoal have significant importance for sorption of the toxic materials. Some of the toxicants can be adsorbed by the mechanism of physical sorption, while others are not subjected to this kind of mechanism. For toxicants that are not subjected to physical sorption impregnation of activated carbon must be done. Activated charcoal were impregnated with the solution of zinc oxide (ZnO) of various concentrations, from 0.47 mol/dm3 up to 1 mol/dm3, and the effect of impregnation on the sorption capacity of the activated charcoal for carbonyl dichloride (COCl2) was investigated. Research results showed that the amount of ZnO from 1 mol offering the highest sorption capacity.
