Abstract

The aim of the work is to find and analyze ethical elements of the novel 'Journey of Agilarije Rota' written by Srbislav Minković. The story is presented through several areas such as Santa Fe, (New Mexico) Pirot (Serbia) and Tucuman (Argentina)/ Borgo pass / Tibet (China)) whereas not all of them belong to the real and existing areas but open an imaginary sphere which makes both this research and the novel more complex. As the ethical components of the novel can be seen through several semantical levels through the analysis of characters, their actions, events and study of the issues of an individual, collective, secret and value, the research required a background of numerous literary, theoretical and philosophical movements among which are existentialism, phenomenology, semiology and postmodernism. The conclusion which is easy to make is that the ethic implications are omnipresent and esthetic qualities of the analyzed novel stem from them.
