The temperature influence on stress corrosion cracking of aluminium alloys Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series

The stress corrosion cracking of the aluminum alloy Al-Zn Mg-Cu (series 7000) was investigated by fracture mechanics method and slow strain rate test (SSRT). The influence of the corrosion environment temperature on the crack propagation rate was examined by fracture mechanics method. The activation energy value of the crack propagation rate process was determined. The stress corrosion resistance dependence on alloy heat treatment was investigated by slow strain rate test.
