Vršnjački odnosi i vršnjačko učenje kao korelati akademskog postignuća

Sažetak

Vršnjaci vremenom imaju sve veću ulogu u detetovom životu, u formiranju stavova, identiteta, donošenju odluka, uspostavljanju i održavanju interpersonalnih odnosa. S obzirom na rasprostranjenost vršnjačkog uticaja, ovaj rad se bavi upravo uticajem vršnjačkih odnosa i vršnjačkog učenja na akademsko postignuće. Pozitivni vršnjački odnosi, kao što su vršnjačka prihvaćenost i prijateljske dijade, predstavljaju razvojni zadatak, koji ukoliko se ne ispuni može dovesti do problema u mentalnom zdravlju, razvoja depresivnosti, agresivnosti i problema u školi poput slabijeg akademskog uspeha i odustajanja od škole. Ispunjenjem ovog razvojnog zadatka, dete stiče socijalne i kognitivne kompetencije, pozitivnu sliku o sebi i osećaj pripadnosti, koji utiču na njegovo akademsko postignuće i učešće u školskim aktivnostima. Pored vršnjačkih odnosa, vršnjaci utiču na akademsko postignuće putem vršnjačkog učenja, kao što je kooperativno učenje. Kooperativno učenje omogućava učenicima da eksperimentišu sa različitim idejama i temama, sagledaju problem iz različitih uglova, razviju svoje kognitivne sposobnosti u interakciji sa vršnjacima, što doprinosi akademskom postignuću. Pozitivni vršnjački odnosi predstavljaju prediktor i korelat pozitivnog akademskog postignuća i kasnijeg kako poslovnog, tako i psihološkog uspeha u životu.
