Sažetak

Sagorevanje na poslu je oblik profesionalnog stresa koji se najčešće javlja u zanimanjima u kojima postoji direktan kontakt sa ljudima. Tri ključna aspekta sagorevanja na poslu koji nastaju kao odgovor na hronični stres su: emocionalna iscrpljenost, depersonalizacija i osećaj smanjenog ličnog postignića. Istraživanja koja su sprovođena kako u visokorazvijenima, tako i u srednjerazvijenim i zemljama u razvoju pokazuju visok stepen prisutnosti profesionalnog stresa i sindroma sagorevanja na poslu kod lekara u skoro svim granama medicine. Direktne posledice profesionalnog stresa po fizičko i psihičko zdravlje lekara indirektno dovode do smanjenja nivoa zdravstvene usluge sa svim svojim posledicama po zdravlje pacijenata. Ukazuje se potreba za otkrivanjem stresogenih faktora u lekarskoj profesiji i načina njihovog sprečavanja ili bar ublažavanja. Razvoj modaliteta u smislu edukacije o prepoznavanju i prevazilaženju stresogenih faktora nastanka profesionalnog sagorevanja i iznalaženje novih organizacionih šema u zdravstvu, sa ciljem smanjenja prisutnosti faktora stresa koja doprinose razvoju sindroma sagorevanja, mogli bi biti jedni od prioriteta za društvenu zajednicu svake zemlje.
