Abstract

The purpose of this work was to examine personality characteristics of graduate police officers. A sample of 208 subjects was given three cognitive and eight conative tests. Their results were compared with population norms and it was concluded that graduate police officers are intellectually superior and well adapted individuals who are capable of carrying out the most complex tasks and duties. The analysis of relations between quantitative characteristics has showed the existence of nonlinear relations between the most important conative regulators so it was concluded that in this area of psychological space, the relations are definitely not linear.
