Do personality traits in student influence his preferences as to the method of testing his achievement in school

Abstract

Our basic conclusion is that (tested)traits of student's personality influence his preference as to written or oral method of assessing his knowledge to a lesser extent than expected Practical and situational orientation appears to be by far a more significant factor of this type of preference. Moreover, such an orientation in the basis of which lies the perception of the situation and his own capabilities of obtaining the desired objectives in it (expectations of the situation and of himself)features as a predominant factor in many personality traits when it comes to determining the preferences as to testing his knowledge acquired in school. It proved, however, that certain tested traits of students personality (e.g. fear from entering exam)in themselves influence significantly his preferences to the method of testing.
