Sažetak

Razvojna diskalkulija je skup specifičnih teškoća u učenju matematike i u obavljanju matematičkih zadataka. Neadekvatna nastava, deprivaciona sredina i nizak stepen inteligencije (IQ) mogu imati uticaja na etiologiju razvojne diskalkulije. Novija istraživanja pokazuju da ona ima organsku osnovu tj. nastaje usled moždane disfunkcije i javlja se češće u određenim porodicama. Area precentralis i donji frontalni korteks su posebno značajne anatomske strukture za nastanak razvojne diskalkulije, mada diskalkulija može biti rezultat disfunkcije obe hemisfere. Prevalenca diskalkulije u školskoj populaciji kreće se od 3-6%, slično kao kod disleksije i poremećaja pažnje i hiperkinetičkog sindroma (ADHD). Podjednako se sreće kod dece oba pola. Može se javiti samostalno, kao jedina detetova teškoća, ali se sreće i kod drugih neuroloških bolesti kao što su: poremećaj pažnje i hiperkinetički sindrom (ADHD), epilepsija (EPI), disleksija, loša vizuomotorna koordinacija pokreta. U ovom trenutku, prognoza razvojne diskalkulije nije sasvim poznata.
