Sažetak

Na primeru dve romske/ciganske grupe u multientičkom transilvanijskom selu Trabeš, u radu se preispituje doprinos različitih antropoloških pristupa (esencijalistički i konstruktivistički) teorijskom utemeljenju romskih/ciganskih studija. Autor podseća da antropolozi mogu da pruže dubok uvid u pojedinačne slučajeve, ali se moraju uzdržati od generalizovanja svojih podataka i ocenjivanja svih Roma/Cigana kao jedne jedine grupe. Zato u zadatak antropologiji stavlja objašnjenje procesa romske/ciganske diferencijacije bez ikakve kodifikacije romskog/ciganskog etniciteta. Opisujući krajnje različite markere trabeških Čergara i Cigana u definisanju sopstvene ciganstvenosti (manele muzika, Ţigani de mătase /svileni Cigani preobraćenje u pentekostalizam), autor poziva na relacijsku i fleksibilnu analizu romske/ciganske raznovrsnosti i prerastanje multidisciplinarnih romskih/ciganskih studija u interdisciplinarnu nauku.
