Abstract
The aim of the paper was to determine prevalence of obesity in school-aged children based on various anthropometries indicators, to conduct comparable analysis of acquired nourishing prevalence and obesity of applied parameters and to estimate statistically significant difference of acquired values. Investigations have included body height and body mass measurement and on that basis body mass index and skin fold thickness above-standardized points was calculated. Acquired values were compared to tabular percentile values and to obtain data on the obesity level Total frequency of obesity according to BMI (> P85) was determined in 14.20 % of boys and in 1260 % of girls. Total frequency according to skin fold thickness above m. triceps brachii (DKN1 > P90) was registered in 13.32 % schoolboys and 13.30 % of schoolgirls. Total prevalence of obesity according to skin fold thickness above the scapula angle (DKN2> P90) was registered in 16.82 % of boys and 13.50 % of girls. Comparable analysis concerning frequency of obesity in school-aged children obtained by estimation of applied parameters has indicated the difference which was statistically significant in 75 % of these analyses.
