Posle desetogodišnjih krvavih, prvenstveno etničkih, konflikata na prostoru Zapadnog Balkana (Albanija, Makedonija, Srbija i Crna Gora, Bosna i Hercegovina i Hrvatska) pojavila se pretnja od terorizma. Njegovi nosioci su albanski ekstremisti. Rukovođeni subjektivnom procenom o nepovoljnom statusu svoje etničke zajednice, i opterećeni radikalnim islamom, albanski teroristi izvode akcije protiv matične države radi razbijanja njenog teritorijalnog integriteta. Svoje protivzakonito nasilje nastoje da prikažu kao iznuđeno odnosno u funkciji popravljanja nepodnošljivog položaja svojih sunarodnika smatrajući da je rešenje tog problema stvaranje "velike" islamske albanske države. Takva isključivost, koju, između ostalog, ispoljavaju posredstvom terorističke "Albanske nacionalne armije" ("ANA"), velika je opasnost po bezbednost Zapadnog Balkana.
Abstract
After a ten-year period of bloody, primarily ethnic, conflicts in the area of the Western Balkans (Albania, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia), there has emerged a threat posed by Albanian terrorism. Led by a prejudiced estimate of their ethnic community's adverse status, and burdened with radical Islamic beliefs, Albanian terrorists conduct actions against their home country to disrupt its territorial integrity. They seek to present themselves as being forced to resort to illegal violence in order to improve unbearable condition of their fellow-citizens, believing that a solution to the issue is to create "great" Islamic state of Albania. This exclusiveness, which is manifested inter alia through the terrorist "Albanian National Army" ("ANA"), poses enormous threat to the security of the Western Balkans.
