Iskustva LGBT roditelja i njihove dece - rezultati longitudinalnih studija

Sažetak
Planiranje porodice podrazumeva planiranje broja dece, ali i vremenskog rasporeda rađanja ili usvajanja. Stvaranje porodice i njeno planiranje su prava zagarantovana Ustavom. Postavlja se pitanje, da li su ona podjednako zagarantovano svima ili su homoseksualci diskriminisani zakonskom regulativom, praksom država i njihovih organa? Analizom rezulatata više longitudinalnih studija, urađenih u ovaj oblasti u SAD, koje se bave iskustvima istopolnih parova u ulozi roditelja i njihove dece, dobiće se bolji uvid u izazove i probleme sa kojima se oni svakodnevno suočavaju. Naglasak će biti na proceni uticaja porodične sredine, na život i razvoj ove dece, i načinima na koji oni prevazilaze izazove sa kojima se deca u tradicionalnim porodicama ne suočavaju. Jedno od pitanja je i da li je usvojenje deteta od strane istopolnog para u skladu sa njegovim najboljim interesom, što je standard koji se zakonom izričito propisuje kao uslov za zasnivanje usvojenja. Prilagođavanje deteta istopolnoj porodici i istopolne porodice društvu, koje čestonije prijateljski nastrojeno prema različitostima, jedno je od aktelnijih pitanja u oblasti porodičnog prava sa biološkog, zdravstvenog, demografskog, sociološkog, ekonomskog i psihološkog aspekta. Autorka zaključuje da je upoznavanje sa dosadašnjim istraživanjima, koja imaju određene metodološke nedostatke, od izuzetnog značaja, što će, kako veruje, biti otklonjeno nekim budućim istraživanjima koja će dati detaljnije odgovore na pitanja, sa kakvim izazovima su se suočavale istopolne porodice i deca koja su u njima odrastala. Izbegavajući svaku vrstu isključivosti i ostrašćenosti, ona dopušta mogućnost da sve istine nisu dostupne u formi proverljivih iskaza.
