Sažetak
Od samog nastanka internetu su, često nekritički i krajnje spekula- tivno, pripisivane različite moći u pogledu rešavanja nagomilanih društvenih pro- blema s kraja XX i početka XXI veka ali, možda i češće, odricala bilo kakva zasluga za građanski aktivizam i pobune koje su se u ovom periodu dešavale. U skladu sa tim, cilj ovog teksta jeste da se istraže i sagledaju realni potencijali interneta kao sredstva građanskog aktivizma. Na teorijskom nivou internet se određuje kao tehno- logija koja može biti u funkciji održavanja ali i podrivanja društvene hijerahije, što po Finbergu (Feenberg, 2002) predstavlja dva temeljna principa funkcionisanja svake tehnologije. S tim u vezi, polazi se od Kastelsove (2014) ideje da putem inter- neta građani mogu potkopati jedan od dva osnovna izvora moći-moć komunikacija. Na analitičkom nivou aktivistička uloga interneta se razlaže na informativnu, or- ganizacionu i javno-sfersku, da bi se kroz empirijsku studiju ispitalo delovanje samo- niklih građanskih pokreta na onlajn platformama za društveno umrežavanje u Srbiji.
