Jungian and/or kleinian analysis?
Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts - SASA, Belgrade
Keywords: C. G. Jung; M. Klein; didactic and therapeutic analysis; religion; interpretation
Scientific attempts at prolific blending of diverse elements into a single system have been growing more frequent. Using the example of advantages and disadvantages of the Jungian and the Kleinian analyses (didactic and therapeutic), the author wishes to bring the well-known analytical teachings closer together, thus joining in similar attempts around the world (Joann Culbert-Koehn). The teachings of Melanie Klein, Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung and their followers and students are not irreconcilably opposed to one another, as was thought for a long time. Existential and essential ideas, such as: fear, guilt, morality and ethics, good and evil, conscious and unconscious, I and Self etc., are allied in all of the above teachings. The knowledge of theories and the aforesaid conceptions, as well as their application for the purpose of acquiring more knowledge about ourselves as psychotherapists (self-analysis and didactic analysis), will help the therapy we provide to afflicted persons (our clients) be more successful.
