Prosperity year for record yield of maize

Based on one and multi year studies, the paper analyzes the main elements of the maize growing technology. The main objective of any growing technology is to create conditions as favorable as possible for the realization of the hybrids genetic potential for yield. With the hybrids we have, consistent application and proper implementation of cultural practices may take our maize yields and production to the next level. Maize should not be grown in monoculture or repeat sowing, at last not for now. Special attention should be paid to fertilizer application, because it is that the fastest and most effective measure to obtain significant yield increases. Sowing should begin in early April. This is particularly important in droughty years and very important in any year, especially with hybrids with full growing season. The seeding rate should be determined based on the hybrids growing season length hybrid type and winter moisture reserves.
