Participation musique: Developmental role of music in education

Results of many years' scientific research show the fact, that music has one of the unique and most powerful developmental potentials in the context of education as well as development of the person in general. The research follows the influence of music on psycho-physical development from the moment of conception, during pregnancy, neonatal period, early years, school years, and mature years until the process of dying (musical tanatology). The focus of observation in this paper will be on enlightening the process developing by children because of gaining musical experience of a certain kind. Chosen examples are realized in praxis with the school children of different ages and nationalities and they are the part of ten years' research of the author. Music, as a specific system of sound impulses is the mother tongue of the man, and this means optimal ingredient of development of different cognitive abilities, which may result in high academic score. Understanding of the phenomenon of music seems never to be complete and it opens the door of optimization of an educational process and the result is a creative person who considers life challenges as a stage of creation.
