An investigation was carried out on woven cotton fabric dyed with Procian Orange M2R(cold brand), Procian Blue HERD (hot brand), Remazol dye (Vinyl Sulphone) to analyse the colour fastness properties at different salt concentrations such as 30g/l, 40g/l, 50g/l, 60g/l and 70g/l keeping temperature, material to liquor ratio, time and soda concentration as constant. It has been found that there is no effect of increase in salt concentration on the rubbing, perspiration and washing fastness of cotton fabrics dyed with reactive dyes. Relative percentage color strength does not change significantly with increase in salt concentration for cold brand, hot brand and vinyl sulphone reactive dyes. So, increase in exhaustion of reactive dyes with increase in salt concentration could not be determined.
