Setting the peripheral venous catheter / cannula is the most common invasive procedures to be followed in the hospital treatment and care conducted by a Nurse. According to the literature, over 60% of hospitalized patients have installed the peripheral intravenous cannula. Studies have shown that 40% of the cannulas needed reinstallation because of dificulties to find a vein. The consequences are a loss of time; delay with a therapy, patient's discomfort. Companies Epsom and Evena Medical with jointly efforts made smart glasses that allow medical personnel to see clearly the vascular net beneath the skin.
