Sažetak
Fokus u ovom radu je na izveštavanju dnevnih novina u Srbiji tokom pandemije koronavirusa (COVID-19), na specifičnostima dominantnih narativa i odnosa između vlasti i popularne štampe. Istraživanje sadržaja je obuhvatilo prvu polovinu 2020. godine, kada je analizirana ukupno 1.271 naslovna strana osam uticajnih dnevnih listova. Dok su predstavnici ozbiljne štampe još u početnom periodu pokušavali da mobilišu pažnju građana i da postavljaju ozbiljna pitanja, većina tabloida je trivijalizovala opasnost u maniru još jednog spektakla kojim će da obezbede veće tiraže, bez obzira na društvene posledice i etičke norme novinarske profesije. Objektivnost i nepristrasnost se žrtvuju pred senzacionalizmom, spektaklom i političkim klijentelizmom. Selebritizacija medicinske struke samo je raširila konfuziju u javnom mnjenju, a pokazalo se i kako političke elite rado koriste krizno stanje za promociju svojih ideja i programa, umesto stručne debate.
