Uticaj pandemije kovida 19 na pokušaje samoubistva u Republici Srbiji

Sažetak
Uvod/Cilj Prethodna istraživanja ukazuju da će se usled pandemije kovida 19 broj samoubistava i pokušaja samoubistva povećati. Cilj ovog istraživanja je bio da se ispita uticaj pandemije kovida 19 na učestalost i karakteristike pokušaja samoubistva u Republici Srbiji. Metode Istraživanje je uključilo dva perioda: od marta do aprila 2020. godine (period kovida) i isti period tokom godine koja je prethodila (period bez kovida). Pomenuti periodi su se odnosili na bolesnike koji su zbog pokušaja samoubistva bili pregledani u Klinici za psihijatrijske bolesti "Dr Laza Lazarević" u Beogradu (1987 osoba tokom perioda kovida i 2300 osoba tokom perioda bez kovida). Rezultati Statistički značajna razlika između dva posmatrana perioda zabeležena je u pogledu ukupnog broja pregleda posmatrano po mesecima, distribucije pokušaja samoubistva, pola i starosnog doba bolesnika, načina pokušaja samoubistva i dijagnostičke kategorije. Binarnom logističkom regresijom utvrđeno je da su faktori koji mogu statistički značajno uticati na pokušaje samoubistva bili godina, mesec, pol i starosno doba bolesnika, kao i dijagnostička kategorija. Zaključak Pandemija kovida 19 stvara uslove za povećanu izloženost ljudi faktorima rizika za samoubistvo, što potencira značaj kontinuiranog praćenja mentalnog zdravlja ljudi u toku pandemije kovida 19 i posle nje.
