In its historical development the leadership has been changed through many phases. The importance of leadership had the influence in all segments of life and in all historical periods, started when the first leader was elected by the tribe, continued with great army leaders, statesmen, politicians, sportsmen, presidents of companies. Today, the leadership is more and more important. Many enterprises are recognized because of their leaders, and the reputation of the firm is in connection with the role of their president. However, the big and unpredictable changes in economy and the requirements for stronger efficiency create the need for leader of the future- leader specialist. This leader will be responsible for the particular segments of company, and my opinion is that the quality of leadership will not be lowered. On the contrary, the new quality will be added to “general leader” through the various programs of education to provide the better results in the companies. This specialization will improve the performance of enterprises and organization to aim the mission of company. Capability, imagination and creativity are stated as the basic features to provide the future of all companies. The rise in quality of leaders will have effects on the success of firms, and on economy as a whole.
