Effect of different synthetic thickeners in pigment printing on cotton woven fabric
Uticaj različitih sintetičkih zgušnjivača prilikom štampanja u boji na pamučnoj tkanini
Abstract
An investigation was carried out on bleached cotton fabric printed with PRINTOFIX BLEU FB RT HP pigment, to analyze the performance of different synthetic thickeners such as water based laboratory developed thickener, ARCHROM R L HIT and ARCHROM D L FRP. The colour fastness properties to rubbing, wash and light, were evaluated. Colour fastness rating to rubbing and washing of water based laboratory developed thickener is better than ARCHROM R L HIT and ARCHROM D L FRP. However, colour fastness to light rating of all the thickeners was found at par. Relative color strength and lightness or darkness have been analysed for cotton fabrics printed with different synthetic thickeners. There is reduction in relative colour strength by 5.7% for ARCHROM R L HIT and 13.3% for ARCHROM D L FRP, respectively in comparison to water based laboratory developed thickener after pigment printing. Water based thickener is also 17.5% and 47% darker than ARCHROM R L HIT and ARCHROM D L FRP, respectively as revealed from relative lightness or darkness values (L*).
Sažetak
Na beljenoj pamučnoj tkanini odštampanom sa PRINTOFIKS BLEU FB RT HP pigmentom, ispitano je kako bi se analizirale performanse različitih sintetičkih zgušnjivača, kao što su laboratorijski razvijeni zgušnjivač na bazi vode, ARCHROM R L HIT i ARCHROM D L FRP. Procenjena je postojanost boje na trljanje, pranje i svetlost. Postojanost boje na trljanje i pranje uz korišćenje laboratorijski razvijenog zgušnjivača na bazi vode je bolji od ARCHROM R L HIT i ARCHROM D L FRP. Međutim, pronađeno je da je otpornost boje na svetlo prilikom primene svih zgušnjavača bolje u prvobitnom stanju. Relativna jačina i osetljivost boje su analizirani za pamučne tkanine odštampane različitim sintetičkim zgušnjivačima. Postoji smanjenje relativne jačine boje za 5,7% za ARCHROM R L HIT i 13,3% za ARCHROM D L FRP, u poređenju sa laboratorijski razvijenim zgušnjivačom na bazi vode nakon štampe. Sredstvo za zgušnjavanje na bazi vode takođe je 17,5% i 47% tamnije od ARCHROM R L HIT i ARCHROM D L FRP, što se pokazalo iz relativne vrednosti osetljivosti boje (L *).
